Naphill & Walter's Ash Gazette
Apart from a gap after the World War Two when there was no paper available, the Naphill & Walter's Ash Gazette has been distributed around the villages since it was started in the 1930s by the village schoolmaster.
The Gazette is run as a community project and its purpose is to maintain our community spirit and to keep the villages informed about local issues and events. It does not seek to make a profit but needs to be self-financing so income is obtained from three main sources:
- Subscription (currently £3 per annum)
Today we have a team of some 40 volunteers involved in the production and distribution of the Gazette.

The Gazette is published for 10 months of the year with combined issues for July/August and December/January. The print deadline is always the 16th of the month before the month of issue.
Monthly updates are submitted from the local village organisations, our local Councillors and our Community Police Officers. Residents are encouraged to send in letters for publication.
